Hello Excuse please for my bad English. 14 days ago I photographed this robbery fly at the border of Germany and Poland. Unfortunately I would know with pleasure which species that is. Hi Markus Your English is better than my German!  I think the fly is Machimus arthriticus. Lovely, clear photo!
