Hi, cyprinoid!

If you give the habitat (at house/building? drainage? cave entrance? rocks? not too dry und sunny?) one could possibly rule out all other Metellina species...
Best regards,
Jürgen

Hi, it was close to the outer wall of my garage (concrete) near the ground which is covered by some plants. Must say it is shady and somewhat moist since it is western Norway :-).

Then there's no doubt about M. merianae. They *love* garages also here in Germany Cool. Many are around and in ours and at and in the wintergarden. But at this season there is also M. segmentata in the garden, so I wanted to be sure, that the net was not in the open vegetation (they build their nets between grasshalms, nettles etc.).
Best regards,
Jürgen
