For those who haven't heard - Peter Skidmore died last weekend, aged 73. Peter was a well-known British Dipterist who specialised in insects on dung, amongst other things. In 1985 he published a classic work on immature Muscidae - The biology of the Muscidae of the world. (Ser. Entomol. 29).

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
