Hello! This isn't a June beetle (Rhizotrogus marginipes) and not a Summer chafer (Amphimallon solstitialis). Is this Rhizotrogus cicatricosus? It crawled this Tuesday here in SE Saxony, Germany. Thanks and Greetings |

To exclude Amphimallon, try to count antennal segments (I just can't make out): 9 in Amphimallon, 10 in Rhizotrogus. If 10 segments, why not a Miltotrogus? (it seems that pronotum, elytrae, and pygidium are all covered with hairs, and base of pronotum is not bordered). |
