Quite common in a nearby wet swamp/meadow, mostly on Iris pseudacorus and in cop. This is the clearest photo I managed; I ran it through the key in Joy (1932) - probably out of date but the only ref. I could find in my local library - and came up with D.thalassina. Can anyone confirm or correct me please. Devon, England; 22/5/2009. Plateumaris sericea s. str. (you were close). By s. str. I mean not discolor, with which sericea is periodically synonymised and reseparated. John Bratton |

Many thanks John. I should know by now not to assume the genus - the more I know, the more I learn how little I know. Tim |
