Looks an interesting fly - do you have any more photos of the face? To me it looks like a dexiine (very deep gena) and with the lack of parafacial bristles it should be quite distinctive - I'd just like to see if it have a median facial ridge

It is a female Dinera ferina, the genus for the reasons given by Chris, the species because of DC 3 +4 . Sinodendron was already known as host. Still, an excellent and interesting result ! Keep them coming Theo |

Believe it or not, I was working towards D. ferina from the overall 'look' ... just wasn't sure because I haven't seen all that many myself
