Hello here it looks about the same than what Jürgen remarked in Germany: not many common spring Syrphides as Eristalis tenax and Episyrphus balteatus but these - I take them for Melangyna lasiophthalma - am I right? dipdip attached the following image:  [192.76Kb] |

I have found it in Slovenia as well, and other similar species are flying much later. |

Thank you Lucasz Mielczarek! That is interessting. I have never seen lucifera and coei, not even on the Swiss List (of 2007). |
