STUNNING! in Black and Gold ID Please

Had this stunning fly come and land right near me while I was out with the camera today. It always landed head down and would twitch its wings wasp like when it landed. I love the way it looked up at the camera for its close up Smile About 25 to 30mm long. Can anyone ID this beautiful creature for me please.
