 The fly below was around 12 mm long. It was digging in the soil. After a while, it got inside the hole dug. Pictured in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

It is not a fly, but a female solitary wasp belonging to the genus Bembix. Therefore, it is in the wrong forum ...Wink

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
