Changing the subject line

Is it a good idea to change the subject of a thread afterwards if it is incorrect or otherwise wrong, for example - I used "Syrphidae sp?", but it was about a different family or when I used "Unknown diptera" because I didn't know better!? |

It is certainly a good idea (that has been proposed before) but I leave it to the original posters to do it. Otherwise I will have a day job doing just that.

You should be able to do that by editing the first post of the thread, as long as it is you who started the thread.
