I think this is an egg, but from what insect?
Or is it some other group?

I am wondering what is could be.. Wink

size: 2-3mm
place: between dead leaf, Amsterdam forest, The Netherlands

The second topic is a seed, from female Betula-tree, it was occupied by the species:

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
