Hi! I took this picture on the 12 of July near Dublin, in Ireland. I think it's a Syrphidae, but I'm not sure about the genus...maybe a Syrphus (vitripennis or torvus)? Or it's something completely different? It's possible to identify it? Maybe it's best to stop to Syrphus sp. ?

Probably it would be better to post Syrphids to the Syrphidae forum to attract the specialists (but Syrphus males are generally hard to identify from a photo).
