Hi!

I took this picture on the 12 of July near Dublin, in Ireland.
I think it's a Syrphidae, but I'm not sure about the genus...maybe a Syrphus (vitripennis or torvus)? Or it's something completely different?

It's possible to identify it? Thank you! Smile

Maybe it's best to stop to Syrphus sp. ?

Probably it would be better to post Syrphids to the Syrphidae forum to attract the specialists (but Syrphus males are generally hard to identify from a photo).

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
