It needs to be a bit closer - with a good dorsal and lateral angle to give the best chances. From this photo I first thought 'Blepharipa' but there looks to be a protruding mouth edge, which might suggest Ernestia maybe ... but, like Theo says, it is very hard to say for sure, despite it being quite a nice photo  |

Funny. Blepharipa was my first thought as well, the eyes are hairy, though. There is a strong appendix to bend m, so there are 2 options * some Exoristini (Parasetigena comes in mind) * Linnaemyia It is a bit early inthe year for L. tessellans, but then again, the south of France.... Theo |
