This was flying at 900 metres in a damp habitat in the Kerkini mountains in Northern Greece, but I think I have seen it alot in my malaise material.

It is a Cylindromyia.
There are many species.
I cannot tell the species from these pics.
Please include samples in the material you send to Chris.

Dear Theo,
Thanks for the reply, but Chris who? I do not send any samples to anybody called Chris, all my Tachinids go to Guido Van de Weyer.

I think Theo was meaning me - but I didn't join Gordon's survey Smile As much as I would love the chance to have more tachinids from that part of the world other people are better at identifying them than I am ... put me on a 'spares only' distribution Grin
