hi flyforum, This little fly (~3mm) catched some prey. The fly was a bit shiny dark black and the body short and fat. picture one is a different fly then the other flies on the pictures. Coenosia atra is unmistakable, because there is no similar species. A small shiny black predator with dusty grey side of thorax. And this species is common in most of Europe.
