Hi,

yesterday I photographed the following diptera.

www.naturfotografie-digital.de/bestimmung/IHF090908-0060b.jpg

I'm not an expert (my interest is more in birds). I've viewed
the gallery at diptera.info, but there are so many species, that it's almost impossible for a layman to find the correct answer.

I thought of this species :
Muscida - Phaonia errans

But I'm very unsure. Can you help ?

Location : Europe, Northern Germany. - Parkland
Size : about 10-12mm

All the best,
Gerd

Welcome Gerd,
this is a female Anthomyiidae, I think Hylemya.
Stephane.
