Looks like a Tachina but that abdomenal pattern doesn't look like anything I have ever seen before ![]() |

That is because it is the pattern of Tachina praeceps. I just happened to study a series by Gerard Pennards from Zakynthos, Greece. Thanks Gerard ! Theo |

It's OK - I approved the first and the third one ... I know the first photo doesn't allow an identification to be made but it shows the whole fly well and shows how very similar these Tachina spp. are ![]() |
