This fly was last Saturday in the Catalonian pyrenees, in a river forest with poplars (Populus nigra), willows...
Can be identified?
Thanks,
Regards

Yes, Coremacera, but it doesn't seem to be the common C. marginata. Maybe C. confluens ?

C. confluens is not cited in Spain, They're cited C. fabricii (syn= cincta), C. halensis and C. tristis (syn= marginata, obscuripennis). These list may change the guesses?

Difficult to say from these pictures. At least, not C. fabricii nor C. halensis. I think it is more around C. obscuripennis, or C. marginata after all... (a view of the face might have helped).
Stephane.

Thanks, next time that I found a Coremacera, I'll photograph the face.
