This beautiful Tephritidae sp. visit my hand this afternoon.
What kind of Tephritidae sp. is this?

and what could be the hostplant? (it's not my hand! Wink)

Hi Robert,

It is Tephritis hyoscyami.
Its hostplants are several types of Carduus species.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
