Sorry for the photo, I only got a side view.
I guess it is not enough to say much.
Shot in Sierra Nevada, D?lar river, S Spain. 1800 masl. 29/06/2008. Size aprox. 8-10 mm.

We had one like that a little while ago and Theo named that one a female Dinera ferina ... this is certainly female and looks dexiine, from the deep gena, so it might be the same or related Smile

Checking again, I am pretty sure I can see the central facial ridge, which would confirm either Dinera or Dexia ... would be nice if we could see a dorsal shot to see the excavation on tergite 1+2 Smile

That I think will not be possible, unfortunatelly. I get carried away some times by the richness in insects you find, in this area particulary, and I do not dedicate enough time to each one. I will try to keep it in mind for next time.

IT is Dexiini and it looks like Dinera ferina, however, could be some obscure Billaea.....
