Hello! The males with the striking yellow 'M' on the thorax are easy, but with this female I'm not 100% sure: P. aurigera? A little bit smaller than P. hemiptera. Yesterday on Mentha at a hedge, northwest Germany. P.S.: And what's that tiny fly in the upper right corner of this larger pic? http://insektenfo...7mm_W3.jpg Juergen Peters attached the following image: ![]() [45.09Kb] Edited by Juergen Peters on 30-08-2008 13:37 Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |

Hello, Theo! Zeegers wrote: yes, indeed a female aurigera. Thanks a lot! First one this autumn. Yes, there where only two females and no males, yet. And only one "non-macho" P. hemiptera male left...
