The Arista is basically bare, any hairs being shorter than the width of the arista at the point where they arise

I've never seen this fly. May be Lophosceles mutatus? Stephane, Kahis?

Hi Nikita,
If it is Lophosceles mutatus it is a long way from its known range. Fauna Europaea plots the N/S range as Finland/Sweden down to Austria/Slovakia Cool

My guess would be Lispocephala. Is there 3 sternopleural bristles arranged in equilateral triangle and 3 dc after the suture, Gordon ?

Stephane.

If I'm not wrong with the genus, Lispocephala ungulata could be a good candidate.

Dear Stephane,
Yes there are thre dorsocentral bristles after the suture and yes there are 3 sternopleural bristles arranged in a triangle, see photo, but there are also smaller hairs/bristles on the Sternopleuron

Thanks. Lispocephala seems to be correct.
Stephane.
