I am fairly confident that this is a female Lucilia ampullacea. Well done Edith ![]() The three characters that caught my eye immediately were: long 3rd antennal segment, mostly pale hairs on the occiput, 2 post acr. The other characters I note once I ran it through the key are: frontal vitta twice as wide as fronto-orbital plate, 3h in gently curved line, 2+1ph, basicosta black, t1 with 1pv, t2 with 1ad, marginal setae ot T3 weak and decumbent, those on T4 strong and erect. Gallery please if everyone else is happy with this ID ![]() (PS Edith - I'll get to the big challenge you sent me in your PM, but it will take me a couple of weeks - I don't think I can promise many species level IDs with those though. ![]() Susan |
