22 June 2008, Almaty province, Karasay district, near Kyrgauldinka River, 43.153570?N, 76.728333?E. Size around 5 or 6 mm. Resting on leaves (Populus, Lonicera) or hanging in typical position. I think wing venation matches, and eye division is also visible.

Yes, Black!! You found a blepharicerid fly like me!  I think there is another genus with that eye. Not like the mine genus, though.  It means that those waters are very well oxygenated. These flies only appear in a impollute waters. extremely rare in these days..  |
