From Turkey, 30 may this year. Close to coast in mid south. Along small river in lushly vegetated place. I thought about Stratiomyidae, but have some doubts too. Interesting! According to Fauna Europea this species is not known from the Near East, including Asian Turkey. Is FE incomplete, or might this be a first record for Turkey? (Can hardly believe that!)
