For a correct ID we need the male genitalia.

Yesterday I did not have the keys at home with me. I have been looking at Hoverflies of Northwest Europe, and this specimen fits quite well with Paragus punctulatus. It also coincides with the habitat, I found it at nearly 2000 masl in the mountains of Sierra Nevada.

It also fits P. haemorrhous, P. coadunatus and P. tibialis... Cool
