I saw this nice Horsefly in Germany, Kell am See (ca 100 km east of Luxemburg) 16 july. Small open place in spruce woodland, grass waist-high, Hogweed and some other flowers. Judges from the three bands I'd say this is a Hybomitra female, but which one?

Impossible to tell. Could be distinguenda, bimaculata, lundbecki or arpadi. Theo |
