It is Andrey Ozerov in same place (during our trip on boat). It isn't too hot on Pechora (it is about 68 N)

Collecting in tundra isn't easy. Photo abouve shows Culicidae around my head, but there was even worse families - Tabanidae (sorry Stephen), Simulidae and Ceratopogonidae - altougether it has Russian name "gnus". When you work 1 year in such conditions it counts as two year.

I'd hate the midges and other biting things (brrrrr) But I'd love to see more photos of the area - it's rare to see such a place |

And I don't want to hear any complaints from you about how cold and miserable Moscow is in a few of months time if you are prepared to spend your summers wearing that much clothing

Nikita won't be in Moscow in winter - he'll be off collecting in Thailand, Senegal, Sochi or Turkey |
