I found this larva on a mudflat of the Rupel, a freshwater tidal river in Belgium. Could it be a Fanniidae-species?

Best regards,
Jan

I went trough some more literature (Smith) and now I know quite sure that it must be Dohrniphora cornuta
an alien species!
Larvae are found in sewage, compost, dead insects and snails.
This time in a (polluted) estuary accompanied by loads of Tubificid oligochaets and Psychodidae.

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
