It can be O falcata as well, - the spots at the base of prst sa are black, and the scutellum has 4 black dots. O. falcata larvae bore STEMS of Tragopogon, whereas O. tragopogonis larvae feed in flower heads only.

New and little-known Tephritidae (Diptera, Cyclorrhapha) from Europe. - Vestnik Zoologii, 2003 , 37(3): 3-12, O. falcata seems to be adequate: - Place of insertion of presutural supraalar and scutellar setae with brown or black spots - Discal and preapical crossbands separated |
