My book with identification keys to the Northwest European Hoverflies has appeared, see http://home.hccne...flies.html. It is published by the KNNV publishers (http://www.knnvui...ndexUK.htm), where it can be ordered. The book contains identification keys to virtually all hoverfly species of Northwest Europe and is written in English. Northwest Europe ranges from Great Britain in the west to the German-Polish border in the east, and from the Loire in the south to the northpole in the North. The vast amount of literature and the collection at the Zoological Museum Amsterdam have been used to modify and extend keys.
