Gymnosoma sp. (Tachinidae) - a very distinctive (almost unmistakable) genus but a species ID is not possible from this photo I think - even with a very sharp view of the head & thorax dusting identifications are often not possible  |

Only Gymnosoma sp. it is nearly impossible in many cases to be sure about species of Gymnosoma. Sometimes it is possible, not this one. |
