Hmm, not sure - but I don't think Mydaea because the median vein on yours is angled, not straight. I'm wondering if it could be a Dinera spp. (grisescens?) (Tachinidae) because the excavation doesn't reach the margin of T1+2 and the legs are very long (typical in Dexiini). Would be nice to see if it had a plumose arista  Better wait for Theo to have his say

A very Muscid-like Tachinid is bound to be Macquartia grisea. The small calyptrae support this. Theo |

Hello Joke, it is 100% certain the same fly on both photos. Because the light conditions were quite poor, the second photo (which was actually the first) was not sharp. I used flash on the second photo (the top one here). Maybe that gives you the impression of two different flies? http://slamenietd...web-log.nl |
