 Found in Eindhoven today, this fly is very dark, almost black. I have other pictures if needed.

 A female Platycheirus, and although we can't see the spots on the abdomen too well, I'm quite sure it's a Platycheirus albimanus female!

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
