 Fly on snow

taken in the end of March in Estonia on snow. The fly is about 5 mm in size. I would to be grateful for any replies.

I think it is our old friend Egle ciliata F. female. 4 posterior dorsocentrals, no anterior dorsal setae on mid tibia, projecting palpi and proboscis and biserial orbitals. Phorbia females would probably show the laterally compressed cerci at the end of the abdomen, and are generally darker. Unlike a few Alliopsis who actively land on snow on mountains, probably looking for prey, this female has got caught on the snow and is temporarily frozen, looking for sallow blossom |

Hello Olavi. Nice photo! The fly is correctly exposed - not easily done with such a bright background. But please post smaller images (around 600 pixels wide). Just show the fly - the background, which fills most of the area is this case - doesn't matter for identifying the fly. As an example, I made a smaller version of your fly.
