The hypodermic needle tip, a bit blunt, is from a 1mL syringe.

EDIT: The hypodermic needle is 0.5mm diameter

This is nothing comparing the female mutillid sting... Shock the bite of this kind of wasps is among the most painful (ok. it lasts just a very few minutes. Smile of the insects.
