This fly posted to BugGuide has me confused. Striped eyes, bright yellow band at front of frons, bright yellow antennae, arista bare, three pairs of reclinate fronto-orbital bristles, 2 pairs dc (with larger setulae in front of the anterior pair), no strong ac (but last few setulae slightly enlarged), rows of costal spines approximately as long as width of costa, vein R1 quite short, anal vein reaching wing margin.
