Finding this male difficult to key. Seems to be Phaonia but doesn't match well, as far as I can tell, to anything in Nearctic keys or in Muscidae of Central Europe. Collected yellow pan trap, Indiana, USA, June 2012. Node of Rs with one small setulae underneath No setulae at base of posterior notopleural Hind tibiae with 3 AD, 1 AV, and 2 PV Underside of scutellum with long fine hairs Prosternum bare, widened anteriorly Arista long plumose DC 2+3, prealar developed but shorter than notopleurals or DCs ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
