Brachycera sp2 from Moorea, French Polynesia

Hello, This Brachycera has been collected in a yellow pan trap in coastal area of Moorea, in French Polynesia. I have no idea of its family, is it possible to tell based on this picture ? Thank you for the help ! Tramage attached the following image: ![]() [100.25Kb] |

The antenna looks like Ephydridae. I thought the genitalia large for the family. |

As I am interested in Ephydridae, but couldn't ID the species, I asked it to Tadeusz Zatwarnicki: it is Clasiopella uncinata Hendel, 1914.

Thank you very much for that identification ! This species is new for French Polynesia, quite common on the site studied, that's a new nice addition to this fauna. |
