Hello,
I found this Drosophila on the edge of a pound in Villeneuve d'Ascq (Nord department, France) on September 9, 2025.
What interested me on this insect were the dark spots on the transverse veins of the wings, especially the almost round anterior spots, because I had not seen yet this aspect in Drosophila. We also see a row of bristles under the anterior femur.
By consulting the Diptera Info gallery I found this aspect on Drosophila limbata species.
Is it possible to give the species of my fly or are the photos not precise enough ?
