Ansbach, 2025-07-24, garden near old deciduous forest in Frankenhoehe Nature Park in an Euonymus japonicus shrub. When reviewing a video I made of a Dolichovespula media that captured a Sarcophaga sp. I realised some dipteran(?) larvae escaping from the fly. Does anyone have an idea which larvae parasitised this Sarcophaga? Any comments are welcome! EDIT: John Carr: probably larval Sarcophagidae. Most species are vivaparous. eklans attached the following image: ![]() [60.04Kb] Edited by eklans on 27-08-2025 10:38 Greetings, Eric |

Those are probably larval Sarcophagidae. Most species are vivaparous. |
