If this was an European fly I'd say Tachinidae. It looks somewhat famliar, but this family is definitely not my fort?...

Kahis is right, it's a Tachinid !
Hairy eyes and bare arista are both rare features in Sarcophagidae - Sarcophaginae (most of the other subfamilies look very different).

The eyes are exceptionally large, which reminds of Carcelia.
There are, however, several other genera with large eyes in the Oriental Region, like Thecocarcelia (however, usually eyes bare) and so on.

The bristles you mention are not the hypopleural ones. Your bristles are actually on the hind margin of the mesopleuron, many flies have bristles there. The hypopleurals stand much more apical and lower, invisible in the picture.

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
