New Checklist of Diptera of Switzerland

After 26 years, the first full update of the checklist of Swiss Diptera is now published. It has again been a collaborative project in which over 55 authors have taken part. It includes 7514 species in 105 families, with many newly recorded species for Switzerland.
Each family is treated as a separate chapter, with its own bibliography in which key works useful for the identification of Swiss species are listed, as well as faunistic and
taxonomic literature.
The new checklist is freely downloadable online on infofauna website:
