Hi Eric That is a nice surprise ! It is a female Chaetoptilia puella ! Tschorsnig and Herting give as German localities Rheinland-Paltz, Baden-Wurrtemberg and Oberlausitz. But maybe the species is heading north due to climate change ? Theo |

Many species are heading north - in July I found female and male of Isodontia mexicana, which seems to follow Oecanthus pellucens, who brings Italian flavour to the Franconian night since 2023.
