 Good evening,

today I was able to photograph this Tabanus near the Ruhr river. Does anyone know this species ?

 Looks like Tabanus bovinus, the pale giant horse-fly (slightly green eyes).

 But abdominal pattern is very different: male T. bromius

Check the book !
