Hello, I've met this fly a week ago at home (South of France) I guess she's part of Tachinidae but I just can't find even a genus to please me, I first thought that was simply Triarthria setipennis but wings venetion is not going in this way, so I've checked many other genus with big antennas like Phorocera, Blondelia, Compsilura, Lydella, Lypha, Baumhaueria, Phryxe, Phytomyptera, Bactromyia aurulenta, Cyzenis albicans but I think nothing fits with mine, am I wrong ? Eugène (evdb) propose Ramonda spathulata, what do you think ? Thanks for your help. Ok, I thought Ramonda's antennas were too small to match with mine but I'm not an expert so obviously I trust you ! Is there any explanation for the difference of antenna's size (male/female maybe... ?) or is it random in this genus or species ? So actual name is Pericespia ? Actually the current name is Periscepsia spathulata, Ramonda becoming a synonym

Some Europeans consider Ramonda a separate genus. Canadians consider it a subgenus of Periscepsia. I have no opinion. |
