Hello, I think this is Exorista larvarum for the following reasons: 4 dc post-suture, black longitudinal central line on the abdomen, naked eyes, partially reddish scutellum, golden parafacial pruinosity. What do you think, please? ![]() ANDRE LABETAA : France : Canohès : 66680 : 06/04/2025 Altitude : 70 m - Taille : Dans les 10-12 mm ?? Yes, it is pretty similar to exorista larvarum, but the pattern of abdomen seems slightly off and the date is extremely earky for larvarum. You might have other species. I It seems the eye might be hairy, can you confirm /deny that byblooking at the "original" ? Theo |

Thank you very much, Theo, for your comments. You're absolutely right; the eyes are hairy, much to my surprise. Here's a photo where it looks quite clear:![]() ANDRE LABETAA : France : Canohès : 66680 : 00/00/0000 Altitude : 70 m - Taille : 10-12 mm Réf. : 356943 Edited by DedeLab on 10-04-2025 21:00 André LABETAA |

Given this and time of year, it is E. segregata. Theo |
