this Diptera larvae, found in soil from the garden, North Jutland, Denmark, 16/03-25 about 8mm. so far ive found out that its most likely Rhagionidae or Dolichopodidae, but is there a way to determine wich one of them ? Svavar attached the following image: ![]() [74.11Kb] |

Based upon the shape of the headcapsule this would be Rhagionidae In Dolichopodidae the dorsal rods have an inflated tip |
