Hello, I photographed this fly in Argentera (CN), Italy, 1700m a.s.l. on August 18th 2024. I think it is a Cylindromyia, but is it possible to identify its species based on these photos? Thank you in advance, Emanuele ESant attached the following image: [295.81Kb] Edited by ESant on 12-11-2024 17:42 |

I think it's a male C. pusilla: - apical scutellar bristles missing - abdomen without discals - arista in its apical 1/3 lance-shaped and broadened (T&H + translation Rayner, Raper) Greetings, Eric Kloeckner |
