Seen on Hedera helix, 2024-09-23, garden near old deciduous forest in Frankenhoehe Nature Park.
Is this the male Morellia simplex?
- Frons ≤ anterior ocellus
- Hind margins of tergites black
- Silvery stripe on scutum only to 2nd or 3rd dc post
from Gregor et al (2016): Manual CE Muscidae

Hind tibia not strongly bent
Front femora hair fringe less dense?
(Steven Falk)
